AQUATIC HUNTER

There is a predator inside the water. It is a fast swimmer, but it is not constrained to that single location. If the stream or pond dries, it uses its wings to fly to another location. It is a diving beetle of the species Thermonectus marmoratus, and it feasts on a small roach that has fallen into the stream.
